of $10,000. You are welcome to join the FRISBEE GIRLS team. As with all teams and donations, your generous
gift will be used efficiently and effectively. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar of
revenue raised is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care, and education.
Making a donation is easy and secure! Go to
Isabella's and
Taylor's web page on the CF Foundation's website.
Just click the "Click to Donate" button on this page to make a
donation that will be credited to the "Frisbee Girls" team. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated!
We encourage you to participate in the walk, but if you are unable to attend, you can still support the team effort with a
donation.
Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children
and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. However, we continue
to lose precious lives to CF every day. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure
that a cure is found sooner - rather than later. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation,

of the CF Foundation and GREAT STRIDES!
How to get started...
Step 1 - Form a Team
Put together a group of your co-workers, friends, or family members and form a GREAT STRIDES team!
CF Foundation staff will help you along the way with tools and tips to make your team
successful. Whether you are a part of a corporate, family, or organizational team,
your participation will be make a difference.
Step 2 - Raise Funds
Your fundraising efforts are crucial in helping the CF Foundation fund the research that
is needed to find a cure. Set a goal for yourself and your team and ask everyone you
know to reach your goal. Staff will help put the "fun" in "fundraising." Online fund raising
is easy - simply send an email to everyone you know and ask for their support.
Through raising funds you can be assured that you are taking the next step in helping to find
a cure!

Step 3 - Celebrate at the walk!
Now come join your community, friends, and family to celebrate your hard work and tremendous
fundraising efforts! The walk will be a great celebration with activities for the whole
family! Enjoy the fun, and move one step closer to making CF stand for "Cure Found"!
B. Cepacia Policy:
Because of risks to people with CF, individuals with a confirmed
positive sputum culture for Burkholderia Cepacia complex shall not attend this event.
This is because B. Cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close
proximity. B. Cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness,
and in some patients, may lead to death. Despite this policy, there still might be some
individuals with B. Cepacia in attendance. B. Cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy
individuals. For alternative ways to participate and for information about this policy,
please contact the CF Foundation at (800) FIGHT-CF or visit our website
www.cff.org. Consult your CF care center physician with
medical questions.
adding tomorrows every day...
CF is a life threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system.
More than 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene.
While much progress has been made toward finding a cure, our work is far from over as
we continue to loose precious lives to this devastating disease.
Why should you get involved?
The CF Foundation is Efficient
Almost 90 cents of every dollar raised goes toward vital CF programs. According to
SmartMoney, the CF Foundation is "a charity that won't waste your money."
The CF Foundation is Innovative
Forbes has recognized the CF Foundation's innovative approach to research. By offering
milestone-driven research awards, the CF Foundation stimulates the development of new CF
therapies that are having a profound impact on thousands of young lives.
The CF Foundation is Results Driven
When the CF Foundation began, few patients lived to attend elementary school. Thanks to the
research and care supported by the CF Foundation, the median age of survival is almost
37 years.
The CF Foundation Needs Your Help!
Although the outlook for a child born with CF today has improved tremendously over the years,
it is NOT good enough. Your participation in GREAT STRIDES is critical to ensuring that the
momentum in CF research continues. Working together, we can add tomorrows every day to
the lives of all people with CF!
